Senior Officer – Roaming and International - (22000180)
Description
We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Senior Officer – Roaming and International within Consumer Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.

Detailed Description
Reporting to the Manager – Voice Products the role holder is responsible for driving end-to-end delivery of Customer Value proposition for all Roaming and international calling customers. Generate product insights and develop comprehensive value propositions and Go-To-Market strategies that will enable Safaricom drive value, acquisition, usage and revenue growth for o Roaming and International callers. Ensure the Roaming and International strategy is implemented in alignment with overall business strategy, market needs and requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Responsible for growth in Roaming and International revenue
• Analyze customer insights, usage patterns, competition activities and market insights to draw insights and design propositions to optimize revenue and profitability
• Prepare and set long term vision and strategy for Roaming and International products and communicate the strategy to all the relevant participants and stakeholders
• Apply call rate reduction for retail customers based on newly negotiated and discounted wholesale rates
• Timely update of Roaming and International rates on cooperate website and customer touch points
• Prepare and secure approvals for Roaming and International commercial propositions
• Collaborate with Wholesale, Technology, Customer care, cooperate affairs, Brand and Finance key stakeholders to align on Roaming and International goals
• Develop an annual/bi-annual Roaming and International calling strategy
• Consolidate marketing research and data on these products and identify key insights and business opportunities
• Work closely with other stakeholders to define a clear and precise Go to Market strategy
• Manage Roaming & International Opex Budget

Qualifications
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• Upper second-class degree in Business or Computer Science from a recognized University
• 3 years working experience in Telecom with exposure to SQL scripting
• High level knowledge of Commercial knowledge.
• CPA certification(any level) will be an added advantage.
• High level knowledge of MS Office applications.
