Job Description
Our Client, one of the largest in the Banking sector in Kenya is seeking to hire Senior Manager - Talent, Learning & Development. Reporting to the Director Human Resources, the jobholder will be tasked to champion organizational effectiveness activities through the development of the bank-wide talent acquisition, talent management, Learning and development strategies necessary to acquire and develop staff capabilities that will support the bank in implementing and realizing its strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
• To develop the L&D framework/strategy, policies and ensures their implementation in order to maintain a skilled workforce that is able to meet organizational goals;
• To analyse training and development needs through a comprehensive training needs analysis review, design and deliver quality learning and development solutions to ensure continuous improvement and contribution to business objectives
• To design an effective mechanism to evaluate and measure the impact of all L&D strategies
• To create and develop a robust L&D framework, including processes, tools/materials to support it.
• To develop bespoke multi-level in-house learning and development programs to cater for the entry, mid and senior management aimed at maximizing organizational capability.
• To develop talent management policies, strategies and tools that will enable the bank to attract, develop and retain the right talent
• To support the HRBPs in the execution of talent management initiatives which include talent review, career paths, personal development plans, coaching and mentoring programs across the entire bank.
• Develop a talent acquisition policy and framework that will help the bank attract and select talent that is critical in achieving the bank’s strategy
• To support the HRBPs in deploying the talent acquisition tools and processes so as to identify the right staff and enhance their productivity through safe and faster on boarding practices.
• To continuously review the talent acquisition framework, aligning it with the Bank’s strategy
• To develop performance management policy and tools that align individual SMART objectives to organizational strategy and linked to reward
• To support the HRBPs in implementation of the performance management cycle from objective setting to quarterly and annual appraisals and also managing non-performance.
• To oversee proper management and utilization of Staff Learning Centre
Requirements
• Minimum: A University Degree in Human Resources or Social Science field from a recognized university
• Higher National Diploma in Human Resources or relevant Certification in Human Resources
• Full member of IHRM and with current practicing certificate
• At least Eight (8) years’ experience in HR of which Five (5) years must have been in a similar management role
• End to end experience in Talent Management including certification, experience in managing enterprise-wide talent management including the use of 9-Grid box on talent profiling, talent identification, talent pool management
• Experience in Banking /Financial Sector will be an added advantage
• Practical experience in performance management best practices
• Experience in implementing organisation change initiatives
• Experience in implementation of HR Strategy, policy and programs
• Ability to engage, inspire and influence
• Excellent interpersonal, team management and communication skills
• Excellent Stakeholder /Client management skills
• High levels of Emotional Intelligence
• Counselling Skills
• Experience in working with HR Systems such as HR Oracle
