JOB DETAILS:
Our client in the Maritime Industry is looking for a professional to fill the Position of Senior HR Manager to be based in Mombasa and reporting directly to the Managing Director.
The Candidate will lead the company in providing the right mix of human resource and related support services in line with the Agency and the global HR Policy directions for Human resource management.

Key Responsibilities.
• Responsible For the Development and Implementation of HR Systems. Policies & Procedures (E.G.HR Planning. Recruitment. Performance Management and Retention.
• Assess The Company's Human Resource Needs And Develop An Approved Plan Of Action To Address The Needs Under The Immediate Guidance And Supervision Of The Managing Director As Well As Within The Broad Direction Provided By The Global

HR Function
• Ensure That All Company HR & Welfare Policies. Systems. Programs and Actions Comply With Local Social & Labor Legislations of Home Country As Well As Comply With Code of Business Conduct and/or Values
• Collaborate With Other Line Managers and Maintain Optimal Staffing Levels in the Company In Compliance With the Global Structure
• Prepare The Annual HR Budget In Adhering To The Function. Monitoring And Control Of The Same of The Company For The Approval Of The MD And Collaborate With The Finance Department For Its Control.
• Ensure the Recruitment. Selection and On-Boarding of the Right Employees through Effective. Fair and Non-Discriminatory Recruitment and Selection Processes
• Coordinate Management Of Talent By Ensuring Requisite Performance Management. Learning And Growth So As To Ensure Compliance With The Corporate Culture.
• Carry out Checks To Ensure That The Outsourced Labor Providers Comply With The Service Level Agreements As Well As The Local Social & Libor Legislations In Respect Of Their Employees Working For The Company
• Provide and Maintain Welfare. Health and Safety Services for Employees
• Implement HR Processes As Directed By Top Management In Order To Attain High Standards In Performance. Completeness. Accuracy Or Punctuality
• Provide Leadership Regarding Compliance with the Company Policy and Unit Work Procedure
• The office holder shall spearhead the Company's Sustainability goals.
• Take Up Ad-Hoc Functional. Supervisory. And Managerial Or Leadership Assignments As May Be Directed From Time-To-Time By Senior Management.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
» Minimum of second class lower honours in B.Sc degree or HND in any of the Social and Management Disciplines.
» Minimum of Associate level of membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management is an advantage (compulsory in some countries).
» Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in Human Resource Management in the Shipping Agency business or from a Multi-national Company
» Good knowledge of social and labour legislations of country
» Open and approachable attitude & disposition
» Ability to influence and operate with all levels of Management & employees
» Ability to work with Computer systems and softwares and any HR Systems
» Willingness to work in or travel to any of the locations in country where/when needed OR to travel out of the country for business meetings, conferences and the like, if required
» Evidence of having participated in the one year compulsory national service (as required in some countries)
» Evidence of professional level of membership of the Professional HR body of Country
