The High Commission of Canada to Kenya is hiring a Senior Development Officer - Somalia Role The Senior Development Officer assists in the identification, development and implementation of Official Development Assistance Programmes at the mission for Somalia: including identifying, assessing and negotiating new projects; managing and administering humanitarian, bilateral development and multilateral projects, conducting analysis of local needs and context; and performing other duties, including representation of the Canadian High Commission and Development Programs at events, conferences and meetings. .

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience involved in the design and implementation of international projects including management of financial aspects. Experience in the design, assessment and implementation of international development and/or humanitarian programs and projects in Somalia. Minimum 5 years of experience working for an international donor. Experience organizing and overseeing visits and events for high level government officials.
