JOB DETAILS:
Overview

Responsibilities
1. Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, implements, and supports technical web software solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies that support Cytonn core and affiliate businesses
2. Designs and builds robust and redundant solutions on the cloud with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud architecture utilized by Cytonn
3. Consulting with management on the operational requirements of software solutions.
4. Contributing expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
5. Mentoring junior software developers in gaining experience and assuming DevOps responsibilities.
6. Act as a support engineer by interfacing with clients, troubleshooting and resolving technical queries/bugs.
7. Managing the installation and configuration of solutions.
8. Collaborating with developers on software requirements, as well as interpreting test stage data.
9. Developing interface simulators and designing automated module deployments.
10. Completing code and script updates, as well as resolving product implementation errors.
11. Overseeing routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests.
12. Documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
13. Conforming to best practices in network administration and cybersecurity.
14. Maintains and improves existing codebases and reviews code changes
15. Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology, information systems, or similar.
2. At least 3 years of experience working with PHP in a dynamic environment. Experience with a modern framework preferably Laravel is required. Experience developing for fintech is an added advantage
3. Advanced knowledge of JavaScript. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks is an added advantage
4. Extensive experience in DevOps engineering, team management, and collaboration.
5. Experience in supporting and managing client facing departments
6. Experience with payment platforms is an added advantage
7. Experience with a modern framework preferably Laravel is required.
8. Ability to oversee and mentor junior software developers, as well as report to senior management.
9. Ability to install and configure software, gather test-stage data, and perform de-bugging.
10. Ability to ensure smooth software deployment by writing script updates and running diagnostics.
11. Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
12. Advanced knowledge of best practices related to data encryption and cybersecurity.
13. Ability to keep up with software development trends and innovation.
14. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
