Security Officer - Brand Protection
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Brand Protection Security Officer who will be responsible for safeguarding the company's interests by identifying, preventing, and combating illicit trade activities. This role involves conducting thorough investigations, monitoring supply chains, and implementing strategies to detect and prevent counterfeit and illegal products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Policies: Assist in creating and updating anti-illicit trade policies and procedures, ensuring they remain effective and aligned with industry standards. Gather feedback from stakeholders to improve policy effectiveness.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to anti-illicit trade. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- TPM and Continuous Improvement: Support TPM activities and the implementation of improvement initiatives.
- Reports: Document and report all incidents related to illicit trade activities, ensuring thorough, accurate, and timely submissions. Prepare regular reports summarizing findings, highlighting risks, and providing actionable insights.
Minimum Requirements
- Academic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in social science or criminology.
- Professional Qualifications: A recognized qualification in security management is an added advantage.
- Experience: At least two years of experience in security management in a medium to large organization. Experience in coordinating with law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Technical Competencies: Expertise in conducting investigations to identify and address illicit trade activities, proficiency in using surveillance technology and techniques, understanding of legal and regulatory requirements related to anti-illicit trade, ability to conduct risk assessments, proficiency in using security technology tools and software, reports writing skills.
- Behavioural Competencies: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, high ethical standards, confidentiality, strong analytical skills and flexibility to adapt to changing conditions and unexpected issues.
