Sales Intern
Job Summary :
We are looking for as Sales Intern to assist with the daily sales department’s needs and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks.
What does a sales intern do?
As a Sales Intern, you will be offering administrative support across the organisation. Key focus will be on ensuring smooth workflow in the Sales Department’s day to day tasks as well as assisting during events organised by the department. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and updating the database of visitors walking in.
We require someone who is well organised, with a pleasant personality, and ability to multitask. You should also be able to deal with emergencies in a timely and effective manner, while streamlining office operations. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. This role may require working in shifts, so flexibility is a plus.
Job Specifications :
• Assist the department in audit compliance
• Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material at all times
• Assist with pinboard and inventory audits
• Keep updated records of all clients and/or all prospective buyers
• Direct visitors to the appropriate department, individual and/or office.
• Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
• Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and/or deliveries
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
• Perform other clerical duties such as filing and other duties assigned to you from time to time.
Job Qualifications :
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree business management – Sales and marketing option will be an added advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. computers, tablets, photocopiers, and printers)
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
• Excellent organisational skills
• Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks
• Customer service attitude
• Additional certification in Office Management is a plus
Other roles Inter alia:
• Works closely with Sales Administrators and Front Office Assistant.
• These are illustrative duties and the job holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the department to respond effectively to the requirements of the Company
