JOB DETAILS:
Job Title: Safety, Health Environment Officer
Report to: Operations Manager
Work Areas: Athi River & Mombasa

SCOPE OF ROLE
The scope shall include developing safety policies and procedures in the work place to ensure compline* with OSKA regulations.

Key Responsibilities
1 Comply with all occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines
2. Inspect worksites and review working conditions
3. To investigate accidents that have occurred to determine the route causes so that future accidents can be prevented
4. The safety officer is responsible for conducting toolbox meetings to ensure that all employees know tire latest safety procedures and protocols
5. Develop and implement 01 IS training programs
6. Maintain safety regulations at work areas
7. Oversee disposal of substances according to environmental guidelines
8. Ensure statutes, regulations. and codes ate dearly under stood and met
9. Intervene to stop any acts or processes which are unsafe or do not comply with OHS guidelines
10. Implement preventative measures to ensure unsafe processes ate not repeated
12 Ensure all personnel follow all personal safety precautions
13. Review and Update procedures and policies for new regulations

Key Skills. Experience and Competencies:
• Certificate in occupational health and safety
• Degree in environmental health studies
• At Ieast 5 years of experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
• Excellent knowledge of legislations and procedures with reference to safety
• Outstanding organizational skills
