JOB DETAILS:

Makindu Children's Centre, a not-for-profit NGO based in Makindu town seeks to recruit a Social Worker. .

  Key duties and responsibilities:
• Coordinate the planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of program activities, ensuring compliance to Makindu Children's Centre quality standards.
• Conduct regular assessments of capacity building needs of community volunteers, guardians and other stakeholders
• Design and oversee the delivery of trainings/workshops for staff, volunteers, Community Health Volunteers and or other stakeholders as appropriate, in order to strengthen their capabilities to effectively contribute to the realization of MCC goals and objectives
• Coordinate the collection of program implementation data, writing of monthly/quarterly program reports, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and other grants requirements.

  Job Education Requirements: Requirements
• Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology, Social Work, Community Development) or a related field
• Minimum three years' experience in coordinating program work in a busy NGO environment
• Hands-on experience in OVC, HIV&AIDS programming
• Formal training and experience in counseling
• Knowledge of group dynamics and/or experience with self-help groups
• Valid Certificate of Good Conduct
• Proficiency in computer user application a must
• Strong training and facilitation skills.
