DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
• Reviews and develops policies and standards for design and construction of roads within the county.
• Coordinates preparation, approval and implementation of department programmes within the approved budget.
• Formulates strategies for managing performance within the department.
• Indicates resource requirements for delivering programme objectives.
• Monitors construction progress and ensures conformance to engineering plans, specifications and construction and safety standards.
• Makes arrangements for effective collaboration with other government agencies.
• Formulates department work plans for county projects.
• Advises the Chief Officer on strategic policy frameworks.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Civil Engineering
• Registered with Engineers Boards of Kenya
• One (1) Year’ relevant work experience
• Computer aided design and computing skills
• Communication skills
• Leadership skills
• Negotiation skills
• Problem solving skills
• Analytical skills
• Interpersonal skills

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENTS
Applicants are required to get clearance from the following institutions to meet requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya:
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
• Criminal Investigation Department
• Credit Reference Bureau
