JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary
Reporting to the Head of Department- Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Senior Registrar shall be responsible with providing appropriate care to in-patients and public out-patients visiting the Unit

Main Duties
• Attend to antenatal mothers, review reports and conduct safe deliveries
• Undertaking clinical procedures and examinations
• Carrying out ward rounds with Consultants
• Consulting on cases that need the attention and guidance of Senior consultants
• Assist management in drawing up and implementation of policies and procedures for the department
• Coaching and mentoring of Interns and Medical Officers in the department
• Ensures that patients are given utmost attention and care at all times
• Make follow up on complaints and any concerns raised by patients
• Conduct surgeries elective or emergencies
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department and provide reports as required

Required Qualifications for the Position
• Bachelor of Medicine & Surgery (MBCHB)
• Master of medicine in Obstetrics and gynaecology (MMED)
• Registered with KMPDC
• ECOG, EMONC, ALSO
