JOB DETAILS:
About the Role
The Regional Manager East Africa role will be responsible for overseeing the execution and implementation of sales strategy for the East Africa region as well as have oversight of the P&Ls in respective countries in the EA region.
In order to succeed in this position, you need to be highly driven, have a passion for learning about and engaging with new cultures, and have a desire to build a business from the ground up.
In this role, you will be instrumental in developing & expanding the company’s footprint in the East African Region and significantly contribute to achieving the business and revenue targets in collaboration with the respective Country Managers.

Regional Manager EA Responsibilities:
• Forecast, achieve sales and improve profitability for the relevant market segments within the region.
• Create, monitor and review capital and operational expenditure to support growth.
• Make sure risk and legal frameworks are met with compliance to governance frameworks.
• Manage all Country Managers in order to ensure achievement of sales targets for the East Africa region.
• Oversee engagements with external stakeholders within the operating areas.
• Execute Regional Strategic Planning Process and Strategic Sales Approach.
• Prepare performance reports for presentation to the Executive Management.
• Analyze business operations with key stakeholders and work towards improvements in the operating regions.
• Work hand in hand with VPs in various projects.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications.
• Assemble and monitor regional goals, measure progress and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Develop presentations and communications to the organization.
• Monitor for and identify priorities that require senior leadership focus.
• Grow and manage the team as well as ensure succession planning.
• Additional responsibilities as periodically assigned.

Skills and Qualifications
• Ten (10)+ years’ experience in Business Development & Sales; five (5) of which should be in a managerial position.
• Strong math skills to crunch numbers and an understanding of the P&L.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
• Ability to motivate others on a team and help them succeed.
• Multitasking skills and the ability to tend to multiple problems at a time.
• Problem-solving skills, especially in situations of high stress.
• Strong knowledge of company policy, goals and standards.
• Organizational skills to manage large amounts of information.
• Ability to generate a variety of reports and presentations displaying regional performance.
• Strong customer service skills in the areas of handling disputes and treating clients with care.
• Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
• Excellent communicator in written and verbal form.
• Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity.
• Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
• Startup experience is a plus.
Good to Have
• Bachelor’s degree in any Business-related course.
• Experience with MS Office.
