JOB DETAILS:
About This Role
We are seeking a creative and entrepreneurial manager to build out GiveDirectly’s content collection system and improve our storytelling: empowering the people receiving cash transfers (recipients) to tell their own stories, enabling field teams to collect content that will drive awareness to the voices of people in poverty, and overseeing content that embodies GD’s values .
You are a clear, succinct communicator with a track record of end-to-end ownership of systems management and production roadmaps. You are passionate about strong storytelling and lifting the voices of those at the bottom of the international development power structure to the top.
Unique and transparent recipient story collection has been vital in driving awareness for GiveDirectly’s work, enabling us to raise and deliver more funds to people in poverty. Public efforts like GDLive , as well as our short film and social media posts , bring public attention to specific lives of the people we seek to assist. Specific, unfiltered stories of the recipients donors reached encourages continued giving.
Note: We're also open to making this role more senior for folks with more depth of experience - please reach out if that's you.
Reports to: Director of Communications
