JOB DETAILS:
  IBM Legal is currently looking for an experienced attorney with strong academic credentials to join its CEWA (Central, East & West Africa) Legal Team.
Reporting to the Senior Counsel CEWA, the successful candidate will be based in Nairobi, with a focus on Kenya and East Africa.
The role will involve executive engagement, negotiating, drafting, and analysing a wide variety of transactions including strategic outsourcing, software, cloud, analytics, sales, business partner, finance, supplier and teaming agreements with both local and multinational customers and suppliers in the region as well as working collaboratively with other members of the CEWA Legal team and other Legal team members in and across other jurisdictions.
Employees with professional legal training and experience, who are qualified to practice law.
Lawyers provide advice and counsel on legal matters and business ethics.
Though the emphasis may differ from location to location, issues arise in areas of antitrust, administrative, commercial, communications, environmental, general corporate, government contracts, intellectual property, international, labor, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, securities, and tax law..

  Job Qualifications:
• Relevant Bachelor's Degree
• At least 3 years experience in commercial law emphasis on contract negotiations, vetting and drafting
• At least 3 years experience in deal making and the ability to function in global business environment
• At least 3 years experience in transactional and deal experience
• At least 3 years experience in similar ICT environment would be advantageous
• At least 3 years experience in negotiations at management level
• Fluent in English
