• Quality of Care Intern
• Position Purpose
The Quality-of-Care Associate intern will participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of the project. Specific roles will include coordination of project activities, identify private pharmacy and providers, capacity building of the providers, and collection of routine data collection in -line with the set data collection system/ structure. The Associate will be expected to produce high quality project reports, based on guidance from the senior quality of care advisor and travel to various sites within a specified geographical area, as appropriate to the objectives of the project.
Summary of Responsibilities
o Conduct regular support to MA outlets vendors through physical visit and online
o Organize for monthly online meeting with MA vendors and youth champions
o Participates in the development of training needs, agendas, and presentations for VCAT and MASU trainings for both pharmacy and youth champions.
o Develop quarterly work plans and activity budgets using provided templates in collaboration with in-country implementation teams.
o Organizes and implements activities while ensuring timely delivery of outputs.
o Establishes and develops links with partner organizations, institutions and interested groups to inform implementation of the project and engage them in project activities.
o Documents project lessons learned, best practices and challenges and shares the results within the organization and with the stakeholders
o Conduct regular programmatic and support supervision to all intervention facilities to ensure the facilities are providing high quality abortion Care and contraceptive services
o Contributes to documentation of project outcomes, shares results organizationally and as appropriate to stakeholders.
o Reports to Directors and Managers in reference to workflow, deadlines, reports, and projects
o Maintain relationships with regional and other non-profits partner organizations in-country as necessary
o Works with senior advisors, managers, directors, and other departments in reference to reports, planning, policies, and procedures.
o Other duties as assigned by line supervisor
o A deep commitment to sexual and reproductive health and rights, especially abortion and contraception access
o Professional-level fluency in both English (speaking, reading, and writing)
o Great Interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and contribute in a team
o An active and passionate Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights advocate
o Proactive and willing to learn
Education
o Diploma or bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience
o Experience working in health or medical field required
o Knowledge in Human centre design is desirable
o Knowledge in selfcare is added advantage
o Working with special population is added advantage
o Must work well in a multi-cultural environment
Preferred Qualifications
o Advanced degree in related field
o Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
o Experience working in a non-profit organization
o Project and budget management experience
Working environment:
o Ability to travel up to 80% domestically
