JOB DETAILS:
Role Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance & Control Manager will be responsible for
• For ensuring that Agritech’s products meet all necessary requirements before they reach the customer.
• Inspection of the products to make sure it has been handled with compliance to Food and Health standards and meets customer expectations.
• Understand customer needs and requirements to develop effective quality control processes
• Devise and review specifications for products handling or processes
• Set requirements for products received at the first point from suppliers and monitor their quality while on transit and at delivery points.
• Ensure adherence to food, health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligations
• Supervise staff responsible for handling the products and provide guidance and feedback to improve the process from pick up to delivery.
• Oversee all product handling procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
• Inspect final output and compare final product for delivery to expected requirements
• Approve the right products or reject defectives
• Keep accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis
• Solicit feedback from customers to assess whether their requirements are met
• Submit detailed reports to Agritech Management

People and Talent
• Lead through example and build an ethical leadership culture in the organisation. Set appropriate tone and expectations and work in collaboration other unit heads to deliver for Agritech.
• Promote and embed a culture of openness, trust and risk awareness, where ethical, legal, regulatory and policy compliant conduct is the norm.
• Identifying and improving individual and team metrics to drive performance and achieve Agritech’s KPIs.
• Responsible for fostering team spirit and morale with open communication and good energy in the team.

Risk Management
• Take personal responsibility for understanding the risk and compliance requirements of the role.
• Understand and comply with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing anti-money laundering, terrorist financing and sanctions; the Group’s policies and procedures; and the Group Code of Conduct.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk and compliance matters.

Regulatory & Business Conduct
• Display exemplary conduct and live by Agritech’s Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, country regulations and guidelines.
• Lead the Agritech Kenya to achieve the outcomes set out in the company’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients and Effective Market practice.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters

Qualifications
• Proven experience as quality manager
• Conscientious and responsible
• A keen eye for detail and a result driven individual.
• Outstanding communication skills
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Proficient in MS Office
• In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
• BSc/ BA in business administration or relevant field
