INVITATION TO TENDER
The PRINCIPAL - WITU MJINI SECONDARY SCHOOL invites Sealed Bids from Eligible Contractors for the Proposed Construction of Tuition Block (PH 2) at Lamu Bargoni High School.

TENDER NAME: Proposed Construction of Tuition Block (PH 2) at Lamu Bargoni High School
ELIGIBILITY: Open only to bidders carrying out business within Lamu County
NCA CATEGORY: 7 and above
BID BOND: 2% of the tender sum
Only tenderers who meet the following Mandatory Requirements as a minimum supported by certified copies of requisite documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation:
1.Valid copy of certificate of incorporation/registration
2.Copy of valid tax compliance certificate
3.Provide valid copy of Bid Bond of 2% of the tender sum to remain valid for 150 days
4.Duly filled and signed form of tender
5.Certified copy of CR12 (issued not more than six months before date of tender opening)
6.Adequate equipment holding and proof of ownership or lease agreement of the same
7. Schedule of key personnel and their technical qualification
8.Dully audited accounts for the last two (2) years (2020 and 2021).
9.Proof of works of similar nature, magnitude and complexity successfully undertaken in the last eight years, Le. between years 2014 and 2021. Attach LPO's or letters of award and completion certificates for each project undertaken.
10. Copy of national identity/valid passport of all directors of the company
11. Proof of liquidated assets of not less than 15% of the tender sum evidenced by
(a) Current bank statements from approved financial institution and indicating amount available of not less than 15% of the tender sum, or
(b) Overdraft facility of not less than 30% of the tender sum from a commercial bank specifically for this project. Bidders are further notified that successful bidders must show proof of registration with National Construction Authority category 7 (Building works) and above before award and signing of the contract.
Bidders are further informed that additional detailed Evaluation Criteria are contained in the tender documents.
Interested candidates may obtain further information and inspect the documents at the office of the Principal Witu Mjini Secondary School during normal working hours.
A complete set of the tender document may be obtained by interested contractors upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kenya Shillings One Thousand (KSh.1000) in Cash payable to the School.
Prices quoted should include all taxes and must be expressed in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for a period of 154 days from the date of tender opening.
Duly filled tender documents enclosed in a plain sealed envelope marked with tender number may be deposited in the provided tender box located at the School or addressed to:

So as to be received on or before 31 January 2023 at 10:00 am.
Prices quoted must be net inclusive of all applicable Government taxes and should be expressed in Kenya Shillings and must remain valid for 120 days from the date of the tender closing.
Submitted Bids will be opened in the Principals office immediately after the closing time in the presence of Bidders or their authorized representatives who may wish to attend.
Late bids will not be accepted.
