The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya is an endowment Fund established under the Perpetual Succession Act Cap 164 of the Laws of Kenya. Our mission is to offer best support to persons with disabilities in Kenya through provision of resources promotion of awareness and advocacy of appropriate policies We seek to engage suitably qualified personnel for the following position:

Property Manager

This position is on a three years renewable contract

Duties and responsibilities

• Overall management and co-ordination of the Properties Management Department.
  
• Undertake marketing of the vacant spaces in the premises and identifying suitable tenants
  
• Management of Buildings and development of management systems and reporting the person to the Properties Committee.
  
• Monitoring supervision and co-ordination of services provided in the Fund's buildings
  
• Identification and supervision of repairs renovations and major alterations in consultation with the Chief Executive.
  
• Custody and administration of tenants’ leases and connected litigation documents
  
• Monitoring settlement of invoices for utilities and the prompt collection of rents and other dues from tenants.
  
• identifying training needs of staff in the department and facilitating training in identified areas for enhancement of staff capability.
  
• Any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive.

Minimum Qualifications

• BA in Land Economics or Reel Estate Management.
  
• MA (Hons) degree in Valuation and Real Estate Management will be an added advantage.
  
• Member of the Institution of Surveyors of Kenya.
  
• 4 years’ experience as a Valuer or Estate Agent with a bias for Management of Commercial Buildings and shopping complexes.
  
• Knowledge of security system and fire prevention requirements.
