Essential
Qualifications University degree in a relevant field (A)
Experience
• Experience in managing projects funded by agencies or governments (A)
• Significant experience of Water, Sanitation, Hygiene (WASH) for low-income urban areas (A)
• Experience of working with water and/or sanitation service providers (A)
• Track record of delivering project goals within deadlines and budgets (A)
• Leading and managing project teams of stakeholders, partners and project staff (A) (I)
• Demonstrable track record of effectively building and sustaining key external and internal relationships at community, utility and governmental levels to realise programme and project goals (A) (I)
• Experience of empowering project staff and others to strengthen their
• capacity and capability through mentoring and coaching (I) Knowledge
• An understanding of the practical realities and cultural dimensions of working in the assigned country/ location(s) (A)
• A good understanding of the urban WASH sector and the enabling and commercial drivers that may be key to success (A) (I)
• Good understanding of project management, including project management methodologies, monitoring, quality control, basic financial controls and procurement (A) (I)
• An understanding of quality assurance/control of project techniques & products (A) (I)
