JOB DETAILS:
Role Purpose:
• The Project Management Function is a new capability sits within International Programs and it aims at supporting the organization’s efforts in improving program quality to better deliver for children and families we serve. The Project Management Capability Lead will play a central role in achieving this goal. The role holder will spend significant time advancing the skillset of staff to deliver one of the key initiatives of Save the Children: a global standardised project management methodology and an IT system to record and analyse programmatic information and provide functionality to better manage projects (PPM PRIME).
• With PPM PRIME, the PM Capability Lead will lead one area of the deliverables: to improve how we recruit, onboard, support, and develop our Project Managers to enable them to reach their potential in the projects they manage & deliver. Through building the capability of the project managers, projects will be managed with greater efficiency, leading to the delivery of quality programs/projects and ultimately improved results for children.
• As the deployment of full integrated CAPP (Coding, Agresso, PMM and PRIME) project till end of 2024, the Project Management BAU will ensure support provided to Country and Member offices that are live with PMM and PRIME through and deliver on its different areas of accountability. The role holder will work closely with the CAPP training lead to identify areas of improvements to training materials, plans and approaches in support to the overall deployment of PRIME.

Experience And Skills
Essential :

• Significant experience in delivering or supporting the learning & development / capacity building of Project Managers
• Significant experience in the design and delivery of a range of learning interventions, including face to face and technology enabled learning
• Excellent skills in developing manuals, guidance and tools that are accessible and user-friendly.
• Excellent project management and organisational skills gained through managing complex cross-organisational projects and training events
• Excellent planning, management and coordination skills, with the ability to organise a workload comprised of varying and changing tasks and responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels and across cultures
• Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships at a distance, with culturally diverse stakeholders and colleagues around the world
• Excellent problem solving skills, and ability to identify and implement solutions.
• An energetic, flexible, proactive and positive approach with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team setting and across teams

Desirable:
• Experience of working in humanitarian or development contexts, undertaking management training and capacity building with staff
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to both staff and peers.
• Solid skills in Microsoft applications. Experience managing content on intranet type systems a plus.
• Experienced in designing e-learning modules using specialist software
• Some experience or demonstrated interest in innovative platforms and mechanisms in Learning & Development.
• Some experience or demonstrated interest in experimenting and learning with new technologies and adult education, skills and competency development within global organisations.
