The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya is an endowment Fund established under the Perpetual Succession Act Cap 164 of the Laws of Kenya. Our mission is to offer best support to persons with disabilities in Kenya through provision of resources promotion of awareness and advocacy of appropriate policies We seek to engage suitably qualified personnel for the following position:

Programmes Manager

This position is on a three year renewable contract

Duties and responsibilities

• Overall management of the Programmes Department.
  
• Management and development of the Donations distribution systems a identifying newest of service to the disabled.
  
• Scrutiny and processing of application of or assistance.
  
• Organizing for distribution, monitoring and evaluation to impact of donations by the Fund.
  
• Maintenance of a computerized record keeping system of donations need to individuals and institutions.
  
• Reporting to the Donations Committee on the progress of activities undertaken on behalf of the Fund and the costs incurred against set budget targets.
  
• Enhancing the Public image of the Fund.
  
• Advocating for the right of the disabled persons.
  
• Fundraising,
  
• Identifying and prioritizing training needs of staff in the department and facilitating training in Identified areas for enhancement of staff capability.
  
• Any other duties assigned by the Chief Executive.

Minimum Qualifications

• A degree holder in social Sciences
  
• Training in Project Programme Design. Planning Management
  
• Diploma in counseling and Mass Communication an added advantage.
  
• Excellent communication skills
  
• Wide experience in interviewing and counseling,
  
• A good background in Statistics.
  
• A good background in Statistics
• Knowledge of the rights of the disabled.
  
• A relevant Master's degree is an added advantage.
