JOB DETAILS:
Miral CSP (Child Sponsorship Program) office works in Nyando, Kisumu County to reach the most disadvantaged children. To support their survival, development, protection, and participation right. .

  Duties and responsibilities.
• Assist a Program Officer with supporting Program cycle management especially; monitoring child emergency case progress, reporting and documentation.
• Document child emergency case management stories/history.
• Assist in child case data entry for evaluating the progress of sponsored children.
• Assist in conducting referrals of vulnerable sponsored children to partner agencies and facilities and follow up with clients to facilitate access to external services.
• Assist in the identification of children in need of emergency healthcare and protection.
• Assist in outreach and community dialogue activities on issues related to child abuse and other children with special needs
• Perform other related duties as assigned


Skills & Competencies
• Knowledge of Computer Applications
• Good knowledge of human rights doctrine and working experience in counseling
• Good knowledge of Child rights and issues related to the prevention of child abuse.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Working experience with OVCs or NGO an added advantage.
• Knowledge of Dholuo language desirable.


Job specifications
• At least a Diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Counseling Psychology or related field in social science. A bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Sociology, Counseling Psychology or any related field in social science is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
• Ability to work as an integral member of a team and work with little or no supervision as may be required
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively under pressure
• Good planning, organization, problem-solving, decision-making and liaison skills
• Ability withstand stressful situations that may arise as a result of a challenging work environment (interaction with children who have undergone very painful situations)
