PROFESSIONAL AUDITING SERVICES
U&I Microfinance Bank, a medium-sized financial institution regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya under the Microfinance Act 2006 is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to audit its financial statements and that of its subsidiary (Bancassurance) for the financial year ended 31 December 2022, with the option of auditing the financial statements for the future financial years.
•The external auditor to be recruited must fulfill the following
•To be a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountant of Kenya (ICPAK)
•To prove an above 5 Years experience in audit services .
•Having audited financial institutions in Kenya will be an added advantage.

Mandatory Proposal Requirements
1. The technical proposal-should indicate the methodology and work plan for
the assignment.
• Experience of the firm in providing similar consultancy services including Group accounts
• Education level and professional qualifications- Quality of management & personnel of the firm. Attach evidence of qualification for two (2) management and or technical/ Professional staff with the relevant qualifications who will be involved in this assignment.
• Describe your firm's level of technological investment and how ICT will be used to aid the execution of the exercise including systems Audit.

2. The financial proposal should have as separate items the audit fees, taxes and other estimated charges to be incurred.
The final decision of the selection of the firm to conduct the audit will be made by the Board of Directors. The final agreement will be in the form of a written contract following the standard agreement form used by CPA firms conducting audits.
