JOB DETAILS:
Gro Intelligence is changing the way the world understands agriculture. By structuring and interpreting the world’s agricultural data, we make complex analysis simple and accessible. Our cloud-based software, Gro, pulls every scattered bit of data related to food and agriculture and classifies it using a common language, transforming fragmented data into information. Its analytic capabilities and intuitive visualizations make it easy to discover, examine and understand relevant information. Previously teams of highly trained experts required weeks and specialized software to gather and comb through such data. Today, Gro makes this information searchable to anyone in minutes. Gro arms global policy makers, investors and corporates with the clarity and insight they need to make smarter decisions and uncover new opportunities. By making information easily accessible, Gro is transforming the way agricultural markets work. Gro Intelligence is headquartered in New York City and has offices in Nairobi, Kenya. Sara Menker serves as CEO.
Join the A.I. company tackling some of the most consequential problems facing the world today. Gro Intelligence is a fast-growing, mission-driven data and analytics company dedicated to understanding the interconnected global markets for all agricultural products. From the food we eat to the clothing we wear and the gasoline in millions of cars across the globe, agriculture touches our daily existence like few other industries. And it’s being completely upended by climate change, trade wars, finite global resources, fickle public policies, a growing population and ever-changing human tastes (e.g. organic produce, plant-based proteins, etc). Come help us understand the complex interplay of these various forces and their ripple effect on global markets.
With offices in both New York and Nairobi, and the financial backing of prominent investors including TPG Growth and Data Collective, Gro is a diverse team of more than 70 engineers, scientists, and business professionals. Our team is growing rapidly and we’re looking for highly motivated, intellectually curious individuals with a shared commitment to building software that impacts the world on the most basic level.
Gro has been featured prominently alongside the company’s founder and CEO in several recent outlets including Recode Decode with Kara Swisher, Fast Company’s Most Creative People, Fortune’s Most Powerful Women in Business, and Vanity Fair’s Inside the Hive with Nick Bilton.
We’re looking for a seasoned Product Manager to work with our Data Integration team on enhancing Gro’s data asset and accelerating our ETL process. .

What You'll Do
• Work with engineering to continuously improve Gro’s end-to-end data asset value chain.
• Work closely with Gro’s industry analysts to identify and evaluate data sources in support of Gro platform use cases.
• Oversee ingesting and mapping the data to Gro’s ontology.
• Build new proprietary data streams
• Support Gro’s engineering team throughout sprint cycles by proactively removing roadblocks that may impact quality of service and on-time delivery
• Define, prioritize, and communicate short- and long-term product goals
