About us
• In 2015 Coop Denmark decided to build a coffee roasting facility in Kenya. The idea was to shorten the supply chain from coffee suppliers to coffee consumers. In January 2016, African Coffee Roasters EPZ Limited was born. It was decided that the roasting facility should reside in Athi River, 40 kilometers outside of Nairobi.

Role Summary
• This role is for the planning and management of the procurement to ensure optimal & efficient purchasing and recording of the procurement information. This position will also be responsible for the purchases of production raw materials & will ensure that all purchases have the best and competitive market rates for production and that procurement operations comply with laws, regulations and other certification requirements.

Responsibilities
• Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction (both internal and external) through timely receipt, dispatching and issue of goods.
• Review, update and maintains purchase orders until they are closed.
• Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts;
• Prepare purchase orders & following up with suppliers and vendors to monitor and evaluate the delivery of approved supplies.
• Review contracts for ACR operation’s purchases annually.
• Update and maintain monthly material forecast.
• Ensure all packaging material usage is tracked and purchased as per the re-order levels.
• Coordinate with the quality department in ensuring all materials received conform to the set quality standards.
• Maintain and update suppliers' list.
• Maintain and update material purchase list.
• Any other tasks as assigned by the production coordinator and warehousing manager.

Qualifications
• Good verbal and written communication
• At least 3 years working experience as a Procurement Manager or Procurement Officer
• BSc degree in supply chain management or Procurement
• Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data
• Experience working in an FMCG organization in Food & Beverage manufacturing is preferred.
