Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Development Studies, Sociology, Social Work or related field from a recognized institution
• Certificate in a Senior Management Course from a recognized institution will be an added advantage
• Served for a minimum period of twelve (12) years and currently serving at the grade of Chief Youth Officer, JG M and above or in a comparable and relevant position in the public service
• Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
• Possess Leadership skills, Communication skills, Interpersonal skills, Organizational skills, Ability to work under pressure, Negotiation skills, Ability to build and lead cohesive teams, Problem solving skills
• Must meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya on Leadership and integrity.

Job Description
• Coordinating staff performance management, training and development;
• Assigning staff additional responsibilities and tasks where necessary;
• Coordinating the development of guidelines to strengthen linkages and absorption of youth into employment, internship and volunteerism;
• Coordinating the formulation and implementation of policies, programmes, strategies, plans and activities that promote youth development;
• Mainstreaming youth affairs at local, national and international levels;
• Undertaking research and consultancy and disseminating information on youth development issues;
• Ensuring that an integrated youth information system is developed; and
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Director Youth Affairs
