JOB DETAILS:
Principal Records Management Officer (CPSB-6) JG ‘N’ – ONE (1) Post Advert No. 58/2021/2022
Duties and Responsibilities
An officer at this level will be responsible for;
• Overseeing the operations of various registries in county departments specifically;
• The officer will be responsible for planning appropriate office accommodation for registries;
• Preparation and submission of budget estimates for registry services; and initiating appraisal and disposal of files, documents, and records in accordance with Government regulations.
• In addition, the officer will be responsible for supervision, guidance and development of staff working under him / her.
Requirements for Appointment
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:
• Served in the grade of Chief Records Management Officer or in a relevant or comparable position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;
• Hold a bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Records Management or Information Science
• A Master’s Degree in Information Science /Records Management or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Institution; and
• Shown outstanding professional competence and administrative ability in the management of the records function
