JOB DETAILS:
Requirements for Appointment
• Must have served as a senior Library officer or in comparable and relevant position in the Public Service for a minimum period of ten (10) years;
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in social sciences or its equivalent; and
• Demonstrated ability and professional competence as reflected in work performance and results.

Duties and Responsibilities
• The principal library officer will be charged with the day to day running of the library;
• Would be in constant touch with the division of library, research and information;
• Places book request and other materials and equipment’s;
• Undertaking book repairs;
• Filing of catalogue cards;
• Newspaper and journals cuttings;
• Photos and slide;
• File maintenance; and
• General supervision of library maintenance (cleanness, repairs and security)

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 120

Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
