JOB DETAILS:
QUALIFICATIONS,REQUIREMENTS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Requirements for Appointment:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or its equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution;
• Have knowledge and relevant work experience of not less than five (5) years;
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) finalist or Certified Internal Auditors (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) qualification;
• Member of Institute of Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in good standing;
• Having undergone supervisory course of not less than four weeks from a recognized institution will be an added advantage;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance results

Duties and Responsibilities
• Participate in development of the Internal Audit Charter, risk-based annual work plan and Internal Audit strategic plan;
• Determine adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems;
• Participate in carrying out internal audit programmes;
• Prepare and submit quarterly and annual audit reports;
• Ensure findings and recommendations arising from internal audit assignments are promptly reported;
• Establish and maintain a system to monitor the disposition of Audit results through follow up;
• Mentor and coach staff;
• Plan, monitor and evaluate performance of staff against the set targets.
• Perform any other that may assigned from time to time
