Overview
Duties and Responsibilities
• Provide a detailed list and curriculum vitae of the team that will support the assignment
• Analysis of institutional setup related to hate speech, national and international legislation and guidelines
• Recommendations for interventions based on the analysis
• Stakeholders' mapping in the area of hate speech
• Evidence gathering should be done through desk research and interviews where applicable
Competencies
• Fluency in English and Swahili
• Ability to adhere to strict timelines and ensure quality deliverable
• Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
• Builds strong relationships with clients, focuses on impact and result for the client and responds positively to feedback

Required Skills and Experience
• Holder of Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, Journalism, Information technology or Data Analysis or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of working experience on forensic research, data analytics, audits, cyber crime and open-source investigations techniques
• Demonstrated knowledge of tracking tools of digital and social media spaces
• Track record of contributions and achievements on countering hate speech, cyber-crime
• Additional certification in forensic research, online governance regulations and/ or data analysis are highly desirable
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience in countering misinformation, disinformation and countering hate speech as well as forensic and investigations techniques
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in non-profit organizations
