JOB DETAILS:
Plant Manager (KShs.180,000 - 200,000)
We need Vast experience in medium light duty fabrication experience along with strong end to end production planning and management experience required.
Job Purpose:
Responsible for supply planning, procurement, production and engineering and maintenance. This role will report to Operations Head.
Role Specification:
• Strategy and Development:
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practices, vision, strategy, process and procedures in the field of production, maintenance, planning and procurement to improve overall business performance.
• Ensure availability of Raw material from various local and international vendor and manage the stock inventory level to avoid any expiry of material and production outage.
• Responsible for warehouse operations within the plant.
• Responsible for overall plant production output, efficiencies, direct manpower as per the targets
• Responsible for maintaining the yield, give away and wastages within the budget and provide leadership to implement continual improvement projects to improve them.
• Responsible for asset management, daily/monthly and annual maintenance of equipment and ensure the plant equipment OEE are met as per the budget.
• Ensure the maintenance spends are reviewed and are maintained within the budget.
• Responsible for optimizing the conversion cost of products in the factory and ensure the same is within the budget.
• Provide leadership for continual improvement projects to reduce fixed and variable cost for the plant which includes reduction in power and fuel, plant consumables, direct and indirect manpower etc.
• Ensure all the legal and statutory compliance related to plant operations are met.
• Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
• Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required
• Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviors expected of them
• Manage and lead the team, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
• Motivate and coach the team to operational success
• Review, implement and update company records e.g. training matrices, performance reviews, risk assessment
