The Government of Kenya (GOK) in conjunction with the World Bank (International Development Association - IDA) is implementing a five-year Infrastructure Finance and Public Private Partnerships Project - Additional Financing (IFPPP-AF) whose overall development objective is to increase private investment in the Kenyan infrastructure market by improving the enabling environment to generate a pipeline of bankable PPP projects. This objective will be achieved through the provision of technical expertise and building capacity to implement the Government's Public Private Partnerships (PPP) National program. The Public Private Partnerships (PPP) Directorate is looking for a highly motivated Kenyan for a period of eighteen (18) months on full time basis, to fill the position of:
PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR GENERAL - PUBLIC PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS

The main objective of the Personal Assistant to the Director General, PPP assignment is to assist and guide the Director General (DG) in all aspects of their role in order to: Develop, implement and execute PPP Program strategies: Identify opportunities for internal and external growth of the PPP program to achieve the require outcomes of PPPs and sustainability of the PPP program; Increase private sector investment in PPPs, Maintain effective communications stakeholder management Ensure the PPP program is managed in compliance with institutional and applicable Government wide policies and procedures and Enhance proactive talent management and development.. .
The Personal Assistant to the Director General PPP is expected to provide support to the DG to ensure delivery of the following areas of responsibility, and not limited to:
• Providing role model leadership behaviour consistent with the vision, values and brand image of the PPP Directorate
• Supporting the DG in leading the development, implementation and execution of PPP program strategies
• Supporting the DG in program planning, coordination and project management support through effective liaison with relevant actors in the PPP process
• Ensuring engagement of the relevant PPP departments in the development of PPP deals and strategies
• Supporting identification of new PPP program funding sources and support, implement and monitor progress of strategic projects
• Working with the relevant departments to develop a robust management information framework to monitor progress against strategy
• Coordinating and managing cross functional teams to improve program planning and implementation
• Organising key program meetings for the DG, including preparation of meeting agendas, memos and other correspondence: Recording/documenting deliberations at the program meetings
• Leading development and execution of effective staff, client and general stakeholder engagement plans by the DG
• General Management of the DG's office including scheduling, maintaining and updating DG's calendar appointments
• Assist in the conduct of research, gap analysis and benchmarking to inform performance improvement in Ppps

Qualification
• A university degree in relevant areas in line with Public Private Partnerships
• Prior experience in dealing with various public and private entities is a plus.
• Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English is critical
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills is necessary
• Good analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other office applications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
Experience
• A minimum of 2-3 years demonstrated experience in a related field.
