JOB DETAILS:
Main purpose of the job
The Payment Operations Officer will support the Payments Operations team with operational tasks with a key focus on provider payments reconciliations and provider relationship management.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Timely and accurate processing of provider claim payments.
• Reconciliation of provider account statements on regular basis as defined.
• Providing excellent customer service and maintaining relationships with providers.
• Handling any complaints associated with claim payments in a timely manner.
• Proactively following up on unreconciled claims payments with the providers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and financial requirements relating to provider claim payments.
• Prepare relevant financial reports and regulatory filings.
• Ensure high standards of confidentiality to safeguard provider sensitive information including patient and financial information.
• Preparing reports and reconciliations for multiple business partners as well as regular weekly and monthly analysis reports.
• Providing day-to-day support of and troubleshooting for M-TIBA user and application problems.
• Extracting, summarizing, and analyzing large sets of data to discover the most impactful insights
• Any other duties as may be prescribed from time to time.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• A university bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business-related qualification
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Section 4 or equivalent professional qualifications in accounting.
• Demonstrable knowledge of accounting principles
• A good understanding of financial controls, policies and procedures
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google sheets
• High-level written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to analyse, model and interpret data
• A high level of mathematical ability
• Problem-solving skills

• Demonstrate a high degree of analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability to make decisions timely.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service focus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Must be highly detail oriented, deadline oriented and organized with effective time management skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, problem solving, and results.
• Ability to show initiative and take responsibility.
• Flexible and ability to adapt or change to new situations and handle high levels of uncertainty
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
