6. Orthopaedic Technologist, JOB GROUP CPSB 11 (1 POST)

Duties And Responsibilities
• Interpreting radiological image of Orthopaedic and Trauma cases. Coaching, mentoring and providing on job training to Staff working under him.
• Carrying out minor Orthopaedic operative techniques involving insertion and removal of
• Steinman's pins and skull calipers.
• Cleaning and treating simple wounds resulting from Orthopaedic Trauma
• Manipulating and reducing fractures and dislocation.
• Fixing and removing casts, bandage and tractions to and from Patients

Requirements For Appointment
• Be a Kenya Citizen.
• Diploma in Orthopaedic Plaster Technology from a recognized Institution.
• Certificate in Computer Application skills from a recognized Institution.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity
a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable

Level of Education: Associate Degree
