Summary
Our client, in the manufacturing industry seeks to recruit an Operation Manager to spearhead the development of strategic production operations plans that reflect the longer-term objectives and priorities established by the board.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the company business
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
• Plan production for all units under your supervision
• Manage and coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to ensure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible
• Analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer needs are being met
• Prepare and present operational reports, forecasts, and other relevant information to senior management
• Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity
• Leads the development and deployment of manufacturing practices focused on quality and continuous improvement.
• Overseeing inventory, distribution of goods and facility layout.
• Work with the Purchasing Manager to develop and improve supplier relationships for all Plant inputs
Requirements:
• Proven track record of successful operations management in the manufacturing industry
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to analyze data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
• Knowledge of construction materials and industry trends
• Ability to travel as required
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the Manufacturing industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management software
