Field Accountant

Accounts Payables

  • Ensures adequacy of supporting documentation for all documentation forwarded for payment
  • Timely processing of staff advances for travel and activities.

HIV Clinical Services Lead

The HIV Clinical Services Lead Will Focus On

  • Strengthening service delivery with the provision of high-quality technical assistance.
  • Building the capacity of MHO staff for sustainability of HIV/AIDS interventions.
  • Improving the delivery of care and treatement services in line with the 95-95-95 strategy.
  • Provide leadership to the EGPAF Dhibiti project team in Central Kenya.

  • With the guidance of Director of Programs, set program direction and approaches.
  • Lead and direct technical capacity building activities for provision of evidence-based and quality HIV/AIDS care and treatment services.
  • Oversee the work of the technical staff and ensure that the work of each technical area is coordinated at all levels.
  • Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation staff to monitor and evaluate contribution of trainings, support supervision and mentorship activities to service delivery outcomes.
  • Provide support to project personnel to technically enable them to provide high-quality prevention, care, and treatment technical assistance and mentorship support to MOH staff.

Senior Health Informatics Officer

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title ?

  • Expand EGPAF Kenya’s HIS Strategy and Portfolio by participating in the deployment of The Foundation’s Cloud KenyaEMR implementation model and other participating Health Information Systems/Products (AfyaSTAT, Ushauri, WebADT, Lab Manifest, Interoperability Later, e.t.c.).
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support to end users of Health Information Systems deployed in supported facilities.
  • Design, develop and implement web-based and mobile health solutions to facilitate real-time data transmission and report sharing within EGPAF-supported projects.
  • Design, develop, deploy and support electronic systems for patient monitoring, as well as the aggregate database for program monitoring and reporting to MOH and donors.
  • Support in extraction and aggregation of data for program progress monitoring and reporting through DATIM, 3PM, MOH system (DHIS), and internal review systems.
  • Respond to routine and ad hoc data requests from the program, donor, and other stakeholders.

Senior Technical Officer - HIV Care & Treatment/TB

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title?

  • Develop integrated HIV facility interventions and work plans and oversee the implementation.
  • Conduct site assessments for new sites & periodic assessments of existing sites for integrated HIV services.
  • Establish and supervise the lab-networks with networked facilities.
  • Assist the SCHMT to develop and implement quality assurance for each supported site.
  • Facilitate the acquisition of Project supplies from MOH/KEMSA and other sources.
  • Responsible for visits to Dhibiti Project supported sites in the assigned sub county in Kiambu or Muranga County to provide Technical support in implementation of integrated HIV/TB care and treatment services.
  • Conduct supportive supervision on quality assurance and improvement issues.
  • Ensure adherence & psychosocial support activities are undertaken at the Dhibiti supported sites and links with HTS and Linkage/Adherence/Retention Program team to facilitate facility-community linkages.
  • Works closely with HMT in identifying training needs, planning and delivering trainings for facility staff.
  • Attends training session in new content areas and help facilitate attendance of facility staff.
  • Develops & maintains close working relationships with Health management teams at Sub County & facility.
  • Provides feedback to facilities and participates in supportive supervision and site assessments including SIMS, CQI, and RDQAs.
  • Lead/drive the attainment of 2nd & 3rd 95’s in the UNAIDS 95/95/95 strategy to ensure attainment of the 95% of eligible patients are on ART & 95% of those on ART are retained on care & achieve viral suppression.
  • Support health facilities in improving quality of services offered through participation in observed practice, preceptorship, and clinical review/switch meetings.
  • Working with the SI & E Technical officer, assists the Project in working with clinic staff in data collection and data management and reporting including utilization of such data for planning and decision making.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on all project input, processes, outputs, outcomes and impact at supported sites to ensure that adequate progress is made towards set targets.
  • Assist Technical Advisor in preparation of monthly and quarterly progress reports.
  • Working with other Teams within the project, identify opportunities for integration including decentralization of care and treatment services, formation of and supporting Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs), community-facility linkages and assist in documentation of successes, best practices and challenges associated with such linkage and integration.
  • Liaise with the HMT and any other Technical counterparts among other partners on HIV care and treatment issues, participating in forums where such issues are being discussed and representing the Technical Advisor when called upon to do so.
  • Chair the sub county based Technical team meetings as per meeting SOPs
  • Submit minutes for Sub County based meetings and escalate any issues arising to management.
  • Lead in preparing and presentation of sub county performance during performance review meetings.

Technical Officer – PMTCT/Pediatrics & Adolescents

Project management: 20%

  • Develop integrated HIV/PMTCT/pediatrics/adolescents facility interventions and work plans and oversee the implementation including AYP and SGBV interventions.
  • Establish/Strengthen and Supervise the EID, CD4 and VL lab-networks with networked facilities.
  • Assist the HMT to develop and implement quality assurance programs for each supported site.
  • Ensure EID website is fully updated for all the sites they cover.
  • Oversee community PMTCT activities including pregnant women mapping.

Technical Support: 20%

  • Responsible for visits to Dhibiti Project supported sites to provide technical support in implementation of integrated PMTCT, AYP and SGBV services.
  • Implement quality pediatric and adolescents HIV package of services to attain the UNAIDS 95-95-95 goal.
  • Implement differentiated service delivery models for PMTCT, Pediatric and adolescents in Dhibiti supported sites.
  • Conduct technical mentorship on quality assurance and improvement issues.
  • Ensure adherence and psychosocial support activities are undertaken at the Dhibiti project supported sites and links with the Adherence, Retention and community liaison technical team to facilitate facility-community linkages.
  • Works closely with the HMT in identifying training needs in CALHIV, PMTCT/RH, AYP, SGBV as well as execution of trainings.
  • Provides feedback to facilities and participates in supportive supervision and site assessments including SIMS, CQI, and RDQAs.
  • Lead/drives technical interventions towards attainment of the 2nd and 3rd 95’s in the UNAIDS 95/95/95 strategy to ensure attainment of the 95% of eligible patients are on ART and 95% of those on ART are retained on treatment and achieve viral suppression.
  • Support health facilities in improving quality of services offered through participation in observed practice, preceptorship, and clinical review/switch meetings.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting: 20%

  • Monitors on a regular basis the availability of supplies necessary to accomplish project objectives.
  • Working with the SI & E program officer, assists the Project in working with clinic staff in data collection, management and reporting including utilization of such data for decision making.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on all project input, processes, outputs, outcomes and impact at supported sites to ensure that adequate progress is made towards set targets.
  • Identifies obstacles to achievement of desired results early enough, identifies remedial actions and seeks support to overcome these obstacles.
  • Prepare progress reports as required (weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually).

Linkages, Networking and Integration: 30%

  • Working closely with other program officers to plan and participate in site assessment, follow up on identified gaps and implementation of interventions.
  • Working with other Teams within the project, identify opportunities for integration including decentralization of PMTCT, care and treatment services, AYP, SGBV, participation in Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDTs), community-facility linkages and documentation of best practices.

Staff Management: 10%

  • Responsible for appraisal in collaboration with care and treatment officer, CHMT/SCHMT of MOH CoAg. STAFF deployed in PMTCT/pediatric and adolescents service points.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • BSc Nursing Officer/Higher diploma nursing/clinical medicine (RH) with 3 years of continuous HIV program implementation or diploma in nursing/clinical medicine with 5 years of continuous HIV program implementation.
  • Experience in establishing and sustaining working relationships with County’s Ministry of Health.
  • Significant and up to date knowledge of the current ART, PMTCT, TB/HIV, HTC guidelines, standards, tools and best practices.

Technical Officer - Retention, Adherence and Linkage

How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

Reporting to the Retention, Adherence and Linkage Technical Advisor, the Retention, Adherence and Linkage Technical Officer will support the planning and implementation of Retention, Adherence, Psychosocial support and Linkage interventions required for HIV care and treatment and PMTCT services within Dhibiti supported facilities in collaboration with the Ministry of Health in Kiambu or Muranga county.

Patient Appointment Management

  • Provide leadership and technical assistance to health facilities on Client Appointment Management system.
  • Design and develop high quality patient-focused appointment management systems to increase demand creation & Retention for HIV care services at the facility at all Dhibiti supported site.

Defaulter Tracing & management (Retention)

  • Ensures effective active client follow up systems at each Dhibiti supported facility through adoption and use of relevant job aids and data collection tools as per client retention and defaulter tracing SOPs.
  • Provides technical assistance to health care facilities for planning, implementation and evaluation of patient tracing and retention systems and related data management, data quality assurance, data summarization and analysis.

Adherence Counseling

In collaboration with the adherence counselors/Peer Educators:-

  • Plans and oversees the implementation of high quality patient-focused demand creation, adherence and retention activities including establishment of functional multidisciplinary adherence support teams at each supported site.
  • Oversee the implementation and documentation of targeted adherence sessions for clients who are suspected for treatment failure (STF).
  • Conducts capacity building of adherence support multidisciplinary teams, which will include HCW, PE, mentor mothers, LSE in provision of stigma free services which include HIV treatment literacy, adherence monitoring and psychosocial support with emphasis on EGPAF/National specific approach.

Psychosocial Support

  • Oversees compliance to facility level adherence and psychosocial support Standard Operating Procedures (National and project specific) for PE work, Mentor mothers, Community linkages and defaulter tracing at within Dhibiti sites.
  • Ensure the development of structured mechanisms within age- specific patient focused psychosocial support groups to deliver treatment literacy and address psychosocial and environmental barriers to optimal retention & adherence.
  • Coordinate the establishment and management of Treatment literacy groups for various categories of clients.
  • Support the Peer educators and adherence counselors develop a schedule for Treatment literacy sessions for the various groups.
  • Ensure that PHDP interventions and treatment literacy activities are implemented and documented at each supported site.

Referral and linkages

  • Guide development and maintenance of updated referral directories to strengthen community-networking activities in collaboration with Community Prevention team in Dhibiti supported sites.
  • Establish community services inventory and SOPs for community-facility referral and linkages and vice versa.

Recording and Documentation

  • Identify best practices, document, recommend, implement and disseminate effective and innovative approaches to adherence , client retention, defaulter tracing , community - facility linkage and stigma reduction at each supported site.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • Degree in Clinical Psychology, Counselling psychology ,Social sciences or other equivalent qualifications in social sciences and/or Public Health.
  • At least three (3) years project management experience working in demand creation, adherence counselling, psychosocial support and community linkages in HIV care and treatment/PMTCT.
  • Proficiency in computer packages (Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point).

Technical Advisor - HIV Care & Treatment/ TB

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title?

  • Coordination of the development of weekly, monthly and quarterly Adult HIV and TB work plans and review budgets and requisitions for technical soundness.
  • Oversee development of integrated HIV/TB facility interventions and work plans and oversee the implementation.
  • Oversee the established CD4, VL lab and sputum samples networks in supported sites, ensuring timely collection of relevant lab samples for diagnosis and for monitoring treatment outcomes while ensuring results are received by patients in a timely manner to guide patient management.
  • Participate in carrying out service quality assessments and implementing continuous quality improvement projects at site level to improve quality of services in supported sites.
  • Conduct targeted site supervision visits to Dhibiti Project supported sites in Kiambu, Muranga, Nyeri and Kirinyaga Counties for technical assistance, capacity building and mentorship of HCWs.
  • Coordinate identification of training needs and support implementation of relevant training modules targeting medical staff and other HIV providers.
  • Supervise and support the Care and Treatment Technical officers in their routine weekly site supportive supervision along with County and sub county HMT members to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Monitor implementation and progress of HTS coverage, ART initiation, OI management, viral load suppression, and retention and cohort outcomes for adults living with HIV.
  • Take lead in adult Advanced HIV Disease management, Cervical cancer services and differentiated service delivery models in accordance to the national guidelines.
  • Work closely with the Strategic Information to ensure all facilities are provided with their HIV and TB targets and dashboards, and through the senior technical officers ensure that these are updated on a monthly basis.
  • Work closely with the Retention, Adherence and Linkage as well as the Prevention and HTS TAs to ensure coverage, retention and cohort outcomes.
  • Will be a member of project management team as well as take part in the donor review meetings on a quarterly basis and SIMS sites visits.
  • Coordinate continuous availability of vital commodities including drugs, Laboratory commodities and that facilities have the required equipment, furniture and the various monitoring and evaluation tools required for a functional HIV/TB program.
  • Identify and mobilize NGOs/ FBOs / CBOs that will be the link to the community for adult differentiated models supporting HIV activities.
  • Participate in the various relevant TWGs at the county, regional level and national levels
  • Train healthcare workers (HCWs) on the relevant HIV/TB packages of care.
  • Provide Continuous mentorship and supportive supervision of HCW to ensure provision of quality Adult HIV/TB services.
  • Liaison with regional TWG to fast track interventions for those failing PI based and second line treatment for PLHIV.
  • Ensure dissemination and distribution of care and treatment job aides, including guidelines, SOPs, and other related documents.

To Be Successful, You Will Have

  • Degree in a health-related field (Masters in Public Health is an advantage).
  • At least 3 years HIV/AIDS work experience (especially within the context of health systems strengthening or health systems development); or quality assurance/quality management.
  • Advanced HIV training is required for this post.
