Amref Health Africa in Kenya is the country programme office of Amref Health Africa, Africa’s largest International Health NGO. This is the largest and oldest country programme in Africa with an average annual budget of USD 40million.

Operations and Administration Associate, FP2030 (Re-advertisement)

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in administration, operations, logistics, project management, or a related field. 
  • An interest in and passion for global health, family planning, reproductive health, international development, or women’s rights issues strongly desired. 
  • Experience in international affairs and development and/or knowledge of the international nonprofit sector is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities. 
  • Proactive, self-starter who works to anticipate needs as understanding and responsibilities grow with time on the job. 
  • Very strong organizational and multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of and experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Strong Excel skills required, strong familiarity with Google Docs.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated excellence working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong professional interpersonal skills and diplomacy.
  • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Written and spoken fluency in English (professional fluency in another language is an asset).
  • Willingness to travel (up to 20%).

Director, Emergency Preparedness and Response, FP2030 (Re-Advertisement)

ELECTION CRITERIA
 
Education & Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Public Health, Sexual or Reproductive Health, Behavioural or Social Science, Public Policy, International Development, Business Administration, Economics or related field, or equivalent standard of education. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

  • 10 to 15 years of professional, technical, and regional or country level experience in international sexual and reproductive health and development.
  • Experience working in humanitarian contexts, including the field (5+ years preferred).
  • Familiarity with the concept of Humanitarian-development nexus as well as with the global humanitarian architecture for SRHR and health.
  • Established partnerships with key SRHR humanitarian actors.
  • An understanding of sectors whose work intersect with FP emergency preparedness and response, such as resilience and climate justice. 
  • Strong diplomacy skills and demonstrated ability to navigate partnerships and relationships at all levels. 
  • Ability to think strategically and help drive projects from inception to implementation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural competencies.
  • Excellent writing, editing, communications, and research capabilities.
  • Strong spoken, analytical and writing skills with advanced knowledge of and proficiency in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Fluent in English and French. Spanish skills a plus. 
  • Ability to meet regular attendance/tardiness policy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle stress.
