JOB DETAILS:
The Neema Hospital, located at Kitui County, is a community hospital designed to provide quality, affordable and sustainable health care to all. Main purpose of the job Reporting to the Senior Nursing Officer,
The major roles for this position will be
• to promote and restore patient's health by completing the nursing process;
• collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members;
• providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families and supervising assigned team members.
• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Promote patient’s independence by establishing patient care goals; teaching patient, friends, and family to understand condition, medications, and self-care skills; answering questions.
• Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals and standards; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and nursing division’s philosophies and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
• Resolve patient problems and needs by utilizing multidisciplinary team strategies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations; calling for assistance from health care support personnel.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Requirements for Appointment
• Be a Kenyan citizen; Be a holder of a Diploma in any of the following disciplines:
• Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing,
• Kenya Registered Nursing, Kenya Registered Midwifery, Kenya Registered Be a member of Nursing Council of Kenya;
• Possess a valid practicing license from Nursing Council of Kenya; Certificate in computer application skills from a recognized institution;
• Provision of quality services Growth in outpatient and inpatient numbers Skills Good analytical skills Self-initiative Clinical Skills, Infection Control skills, Nursing Skills, Physiological Knowledge, Administering Medication, Multi-tasking, Listening, Excellent Communication skills, Health Promotion and Maintenance Active team player with good interpersonal skills Don’t
