Are you comfortable driving forward initiatives involving multiple stakeholders?
adOpes is seeking to employ a Microleasing Fund Manager for our office in Nairobi, Kenya. He or she will be responsible for leading the Fund’s investment activities. The role will require identification of investment opportunities, due diligence and support to investees and finance partners (downstream), development of relationships in the sector, and monitoring and oversight of investments and partners. The role will also support fundraising activities with international public and private investors and investment funds (upstream).

You will be joining a highly motivated and experienced team of finance, risk management, capacity building and social impact investing professionals. The main tasks will include:
• Support the strategy definition and operational plan of the Fund
• Identify, analyse and pre-select eligible investments
• Prepare investment memoranda for approval by the investment committee in collaboration with credit
• Manage and oversee the investment portfolio
• Engage with the sector and upstream investors to support the funding of the adOpes Microleasing Fund
Your skills and experiences
• you are a seasoned finance professional with at least 5 years of experience as a fund manager or comparable position, e.g. in asset management
• university degree or above level qualification (or equivalent)
• experience in strategy and business development/management, implementation and measurement
• strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• additional risk management experience would be of an advantage
• knowledge of impact investing
• you are an all-rounder, a critical thinker with a very pro-active attitude and a team player
• you are an excellent communicator, with convincing presentation skills, comfortable interacting with clients and colleagues across functions at all seniority levels on very different topics
• you are a proactive and well-organized self-starter who can manage multiple projects at once
• you are able to work under pressure, handling complex situations and relationships, delivering against tight deadlines, whilst maintaining a high attention to detail
• you are a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual who is interested in putting his or her track record at the service of the adOpes Microleasing Fund
