JOB DETAILS:
A person shall be qualified for appointment as chairperson or member of the Council if that person-
• is a citizen of Kenya:
• holds a degree from a university recognized in Kenya;
• has knowledge and experience of at least ten years, in the case of the chairperson, or seven years, in the case of a member, in matters relating to any of the following fields-law; journalism; finance; gender and human rights; performing arts; advertising; public relations; religious studies; communication; humanities and social sciences; or information technology:
• meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution; and
• has had a distinguished career in their respective fields.
Terms Of Service
The Chairperson and Members of the Council shall hold office for a period of three (3) years and shall be eligible for re-appointment for another term subject to a maximum of two terms.

The names of all applicants and the shortlisted candidates will be published under section 7(7) of the Act in the Kenya Gazette, and in at least two daily newspapers of national circulation and the website of the Ministry of Information, Communication and Technology-- www.information.go.ke .
Shortlisted applicants will be required to carry their original academic and professional documents for the interview and obtain clearance from the following bodies.
• Kenya Revenue Authority
• Higher Education Loans Board
• Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission; and
• Directorate of Criminal Investigation (certificate of good conduct)
