D. Department of medical services, public health and sanitation

1. Medical Specialist II -Obstetric/Gynecologist, JOB GROUP CPSB 04 (1 POST)

Duties And Responsibilities
o Reviewing Patients and instructing in writing all the recommendations.
o Diagnosing, investigating, treating and Patient documentation.
o Disseminating information for Health Care.
o Conducting weekly clinics and theatre days. V. Managing Health Facilities.
o Responding to intern calls.
o Training, supervising and mentoring (Family physicians interns) and other Students.
o Performing emergency surgeries.
o Undertaking medical legal duties.
o Undertaking medical examinations.
o Preparing medical board proceedings.
o Carrying out community diagnosis, care and treatment.
o Ensuring data and information is collected, transmitted and utilized to benefit the Ensuring d
o customer and service provider.
o Conducting disease surveillance, prevention and control and
o Carrying out Health Education and promotion and preparing Medical reports.

Requirements For Appointment
An Officer must have:
• Master's Degree in Obstetric and Gynecologist.
• Registration Certificate by the Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
• Valid Practicing License from Medical Practitioners and Dentist Board.
• Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010 on Leadership and Integrity.
a. Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation b. Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) c. Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) d. Clearance from the Ethics & Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC)
e. Clearance from Credit Reference Bureau (CRB) Terms of Service: Three (3) Years Renewable Contract
