Byon8 Medical AI internship
We are delighted to call applicants for an internship opportunity to join the leading digital health app in Kenya. BYON8 medical team is seeking a passionate candidate in the role of Medical AI Intern (MAI). In this role, you will be part of the BYON8 medical department and report to the Diagnostic Performance Manager.

Your primary responsibilities will be to:
• Process relevant medical information on diagnoses,
• Participating in a series of research experiments that the team is conducting on features of the unique BYON8 symptom checker (AI and database tasks).
• You will also assist in general company tasks and likely engage in other activities outside of this role to develop your knowledge, confidence, and skills.
In addition to your work, we will have many exciting opportunities outside the medical department that can set a solid foundation for an incredible medical career.

Required qualifications
• Undergraduate medical student
• Critical analysis of relevant information for different diagnoses using physiological, pathological, and epidemiological knowledge and clinical expertise.
• The ability to conduct effective literature reviews to understand medical evidence around diseases and synthesize theories and findings
• Strong communication skills
• Require minimal supervision and still accomplish tasks on time
