JOB DETAILS:Purpose and Scope of Assignment
Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Operations Data Management Officer, and overall supervision of the Senior Protection Officer, the Data Management Associate will:
• Manage the use, maintenance and technical support of databases used in the operation, including planning and overseeing data collection, input and verifications, production of standard and ad hoc reports.
• Generate statistical reports based on the standard reporting formats and ad-hoc reports, charts and tables as required by the management.
• Provide training, as necessary, to UNHCR staff as well as staff-members of implementing partners in relevant aspects of data management.
• May be required to coordinate with the GIS colleagues to ensure that data collection is compatible with GIS.
• Archive and backup database systems; ensure security of databases; perform database administrator functions.
• Assist in development of new applications/databases needed by the UNHCR Offices/Units in area of responsibilities in order to perform their tasks smoothly.
• Ensure that the clients' databases are up to date by identifying and keeping what is relevant and accurate in an accessible manner.
• Support registration activities including proGres technical support and on-site assistance.
• Support voluntary repatriation activities including reconciliation of VolRep data from country of asylum and encashment centers, verification of Voluntary Repatriation Forms (VRFs) and coordination with VolRep Centers (VRCs) on information issues.
• Develop forms and tools for data collection and analysis.
• Decide on appropriate resolution to incidents and escalate issues to the supervisor if incident cannot be resolved within the scope of responsibility.
• Have access to relevant data and records.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Education (Level and area of required and/or preferred education)
• Completion of Secondary School with post-secondary training/certificate in social sciences, statistics, mathematics, information technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 1 years of relevant professional job experience.
• Good computer skills, particularly in data management.
• Excellent knowledge of English and the local language.
JOB DETAILS:
The position of Senior Executive Support Assistant is located within a Division/Bureau or Office of the Representation/Head of Office. The role of this position is to provide administrative and secretarial support services to the Head of Office or immediate Supervisor, in order to ensure the smooth running of the Office and its flow and management of administrative and routinely information. This would involve direct contact with other staff members and contacts with the teams of high ranking officials, both within and outside UNHCR. Subject to the nature of the task/assignment, the incumbent will work independently on routine tasks, while will follow instructions of the supervisor for more complex issues.
Duties
• Provide secretarial and administrative support to the UNHCR Office thus it's better able to meet its objectives.
• Arrange appointments and maintains supervisor's calendar. Receive visitors; places and screens telephone calls and answers queries with discretion.
• Arrange meetings, both internal and external, some involving high-ranking officials, and take minutes and/or notes at meetings.
• Prepare informal translations and may act as interpreter.
• Draft correspondence, documents and reports, some of which are highly confidential.
• Receive, screen, log and route correspondence, attach necessary background information and maintain follow-up system.
• Draft official correspondence, documents and reports on routine matters and/or for clearance by the supervisor and ensure follow-up. Maintain filing system for electronic and hard copy documents.
• Maybe required to assist in Human Resources tasks (attendance record, travel arrangements, preparation of travel authorisation, /claims, etc.) for staff within the unit.
• Assist in the preparation of visit programmes, briefings on issues covered by the Unit, collection of documentation for briefing kits; talking points and other material for missions, meetings and visits.
• Perform other related duties as required.

• For G5 2 years relevant experience with High School Diploma; or 1 year relevant work experience with Bachelor or equivalent or higher
