Main Purpose of the Role
• Lead work on value-creation: understand customer value, craft and effectively communicate a compelling value proposition (as part of a competitive marketing mix) to existing and potential partners/buyers/ donor agencies/SMEs.
• Identify opportunities for rapid growth and work with teams to execute strategies that take advantage of these.
• Drive joined-up thinking, planning and execution across the Invest In Africa technology Platform (APP) & Skills Development programmes – for greater impact.
• Champion ‘Insight – led’ behaviour and thinking in the development of brand / functional plans.
• Lead executional excellence at all relevant touch points (from content development to execution).
• Media relations lead to drive positive building and protection of IIA brand and positioning.
• Be the ‘eyes and ears’ of IIA: Take note of relevant trends / developments in the industry, regulatory space, government policies which have a bearing on IIA / key partners’ work and keep the team updated on these.
Accountabilities
The role reports directly to Invest in In Africa (IIA) Country Manager, Kenya and interfaces with IIA UK.
• Lead in developing and executing integrated Marketing Strategies and plans that bring IIA’s end-to-end value proposition to life and ensuring relevant content, coherence & consistency of messages across all the prioritised channels/platforms.
• Co-develop a brand growth strategy, translate it into competitive marketing plans and execute seamlessly
• Build a holistic understanding of the IIA ecosystem (suppliers, buyers, partners, donors etc.) and develop relevant insights that can be used to create sustainable value for the business.
• Make IIA Brand (and its flagship products) visible at the right touch points and desirable by the right target.
• Lead work on writing winning business proposals and subsequently pitching to new potential partners.
• Plan, execute and carry out pre and post-event evaluation of activities /events in IIA[WM1]

• Ability to work well with different / multiple business partners / stakeholders, the media internally & externally with proven collaborative and team building capabilities

Academic Qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and/or Public Relations
• An advanced Business degree / qualification
• Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Work Experience
• Five (5) years of relevant Brand / Marketing work experience (with at least 3 of those in a senior Marketing position).
• Must have solid proposal writing & pitching skills and a track record of delivering growth via integrated marketing campaigns / activities..
