JOB DETAILS:
Reporting to the Group Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Directors of the Bank, this position has overall responsibility for leadership of the Bank including formulation and implementation of strategy and plans to drive profitability and increase market share.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide overall Bank leadership as well as develop and implement business strategy
• Champion modern and seamless delivery of end to end banking services
• Drive profitability, growth and increase in market share whilst ensuring the brand remains strong and prominent
• Embed an effective internal control environment and strong risk management culture •Ensure strong credit controls and policies and adherence to all prudential and statutory banking requirements
• Promote a customer centric culture to provide exceptional service delivery at all business levels
• Leverage opportunities provided by the Group to refer and generate business across the Group
• Develop new banking products and services to meet market needs and expectations
• Build partnerships with strategic business units and stakeholders through effective communication and networking
• Prepare and present to the Board periodic business strategy and performance updates as well as market environment assessments
• Develop a high-performing team and ensure strong talent and succession management.

Qualifying Requirements:
• University Degree and professional qualifications, preferably in a business-related field
• At least ten years' in-depth and broad experience in financial services, which must include banking experience. Up to date with latest market trends and challenges
• Experience as a business leader, with a track record of high growth, commercial acumen, and assessing and solving organizational challenges. Additional experience in technology, risk, credit and compliance is preferred
• Excellent people management skills, team motivation and leadership competence assessing and solving organizational challenges. Additional experience in technology, risk, credit and compliance is preferred
• Strong stakeholder management, networking, interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
• Command market credibility with strong integrity and exhibit gravitas commensurate with the scale and importance of the role.
