JOB DETAILS:


Purpose of the position:
• In order to digitally enable the delivery of World Vision’s strategy, Our Promise, Global Technology & Digital Solutions (GTD) has embarked on several strategic change initiatives.
• This role will be responsible for ensuring quality communications to support these change initiatives, which include the implementation of global technology platforms, data services, digital innovations, and initiatives that aim to increase digital literacy and dexterity in the partnership.
• This role will promote having a mindset of Unity & Trust as stakeholders from all levels across the partnership are steered towards a common understanding and appreciation of the various initiatives to be implemented.

Major responsibilities:
Communications
• Lead the planning, operationalization and implementation of the GTD global communications strategy
• Partner with GC Communications team to ensure that content, messaging and use of delivery systems/mechanisms are in alignment with WV communication strategy and requirements
• Partner with GTD leaders and project teams to understand communications messaging requirements, as well as scope, content, context, audience, frequency of communications and follow up methods to be used
• Create, manage and execute communications plans for GTD departments and projects
• Prepare written material (including document content, formatting and design) such as announcements, newsletters, FAQs, and other communications products, ensuring high quality and delivery within established timelines
• Work with CIO and other GTD leaders on strategic messaging presentations, including pre-reads and presentations for executive meetings and All Hands Meeting presentations
• Manage GTD intranet design and work with various teams to plan for updates and management of content
• Develop and manage communications templates
• Source communications services as needed, internally or externally, including graphic design, video, print, interactive media, etc.
• Ensure compliance with World Vision Brand Standards

Change Management
• Partner with Global PnC Change Manager and Learning & Development team to support communication needs in implementing GTD change initiatives
• Provide guidance on messaging and look and feel for artifacts such as training materials and Knowledge Base articles

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, or a related field or equivalent work experience
• Solid experience working in communications, preferably in a global and multi-cultural environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent active listening skills
• Curious about other cultures
• Values aligned with the mission of World Vision
• Initiative – able to operate without day-to-day oversight
• Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences within a cross-cultural virtual environment
• Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships virtually and face-to-face
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous situations
• Resilient and tenacious with a propensity to persevere

• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts in a global non-profit environment
• Experience with digital transformations in a large-scale organization a plus
