We are pleased to announce the following vacancy for Manager – Customer Education & Brand In Trade in the Customer Education & Brand in Trade Department within Consumer Business Unit. In keeping with our current business needs, we are looking for a person who meets the criteria indicated below.
Detailed Description
Reporting to the Chapter Lead – Customer Education & Brand In Trade The role holder will be responsible for developing plans, executing projects / initiatives in support of Customer Education and Brand in the trade
Responsibilities
• Plan and execute brand presence across the trade channels.
• Understand the customer’s learning needs and preferences (Shopper Insights)
• create different learning paths and programs to educate different types of customers
• create educational material in line with customer needs or demand
• review and safeguard the quality of educational material (old and new)
• have a good understanding of product adoption metrics
• master different educational channels and related technologies to reach your goals
• expertise and have achieved proven results across various marketing communications disciplines including advertising, PR, digital, social, shopper marketing, etc.
• Internal trafficking and coordination of advertising.
• Proofing final artwork and securing endorsement through the Brand Guardianship.
• Manage the development of all above the line and below the line media executions in conjunction with the creative/ Media agency.
• Ensuring all project aspects as briefed are on track and on time.
• Weekly reporting on all activities for section.
• Prepare advertising and promotions case studies for the internal VF network review.
• Manage and update the intranet back up for all approved advertising materials on a monthly basis
• Innovation in Advertising practice and programs.
• Analysis of the industry and competitor issues as well as benchmarking in other industries to stay abreast of issues.
• Discuss and agree on budget requirements at project listing. Monitor and control budget to ensure that project is on budget and all prerequisite paperwork is in place.
• Ensure pricing is as per agreed pricing with Safaricom Procurement for all work done.
• Keep updated budgeting reports per project.

QUALIFICATIONS
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
• A degree in marketing, business administration
• Min 5 years’ experience in a marketing function with a focus on brand management, Customer Education, advertising, Shopper Marketing
• Strong creative and conceptual skills.
• Attention to detail with excellent interpersonal and communications skills
• An excellent planner and organizer

Experience in Months: 60
Level of Education: Bachelor Degree
