IN CHARGE OF PCEA GITHIGA CHILDREN'S HOME AND SCHOOL

Education Qualification Required
The Applicant should have an Undergraduate Degree in Leadership in Child Care or Social Welfare related field from a reputable university.

Required Qualifications, Skill Sets and Knowledge Level

The Applicant should:

• Be aged between 35 years - 45 years;
• Be a committed born again Christian;
• Have a minimum of three years’ work experience at a senior level within a children’s social care field, preferably gained working in a Presbyterian Church institution;
• Have a good working knowledge of dealing with donors and donor institutions. including creating proposals for donor funds, preparing budgets in accordance with donor instructions and presenting reports to account for the use of funds;
• Demonstrate reasoning, numeracy, literacy and technology skills to required standard.
• Have the ability to work as part of a team, working closely with colleagues and other agencies;
• Have highly developed problem solving skills;
• Be able to work within the principles of the Children's Act and demonstrate a sound working knowledge of Child Protection Issues and Procedures.
• Have the ability to exercise authority and have proven leadership abilities;
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Have good knowledge of manpower management, planning, budgetary management and organization skills; and
• Have the ability to develop and encourage professional growth in others.
