JOB DETAILS:
Nazava is hiring a Logistics & Operations Officer who will ultimately be responsible for maintaining and increasing the efficiency of the business. The successful candidate will also be in charge of providing inspired leadership for the operation of business, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures.

Start date: 1st of November 2021

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate product inventory and storage within warehouses and other logistics sites to optimize efficient inventory movement.
2. Ensure that incoming materials from suppliers are in good order and are properly stored.
3. Ensure that outgoing products and spare parts for customers leave in the correct amounts and are in good condition.
4. Directing and optimizing full order cycle, thus ensuring timely delivery within agreed SLAs with the customers.
5. Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.
6. Collaborate with appointed freight companies to plan deliveries and shipments.
7. Use analytical skills to optimize schedules for shipments and deliveries and maximize cost-effectiveness.
8. Resolve issues with suppliers, customers, transportation companies or employees as applicable.
9. Recruit, supervise and oversee casual laborers as and when applicable and/or appropriate.

• Excellent communication, and listening skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective work relations at all levels.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and work with limited supervision, proactive and a good team-player.
• High level of integrity and honesty.

Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with bias in Logistics, or Supply Chain.
• Prior experience of working in logistics/supply chain/transportation function with a comprehensive knowledge of logistics processes and procedures.
• At least 2 years experience in a similar role.
