JOB DETAILS:
Assists in providing legal advice to the Organization for it to make informed Legal decisions and ensuring that the Agency’s legal obligations are met in accordance with its mandate.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Receiving sermons for litigation matters;
• Drafting court pleadings, managing Court diaries and files and
• Preparing reports on litigation matters;
• Responding to correspondences and issues arising out of all court matters;
• Liaise with external counsel regarding the supply of information and
• materials relating to complex cases;
• Draw up, review and submit service level agreements, contracts,
• agreements and other legal documents in which the Organization is a party;
• Maintaining records of contracts, leases, loan agreements and the covenants therein.
• Ensure that insurance policies and performance bonds for contractors are always up to date and inform Contractors to renew performance bonds;
• Undertaking legal research;
• Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the level of responsibility of this job role.
Minimum Academic, Professional Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor of Laws degree from a recognized institution
• Post Graduate Diploma in Law of Kenya School of Law
• Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
• Member of The Law Society of Kenya with a Valid practicing Certificate
• Must meet the provisions of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
• Relevant experience shall be an added advantage
